How Our Network Works
Talk to a local provider
Who you talk to
A lot of people expect a big company to answer. In practice, you speak with an independent local provider from our network. Secondaryfailure Restoration makes the introduction. The provider does the talking about your home, your schedule and your estimate.
There are no staff profiles here, because the work is done by the providers, not by this referral service.
What happens after you reach out
You share the basics: what happened, where the water is and how long it has been there. A provider in our network that serves your area gets your request.
The provider may ask a few simple things:
- Where did the water come from, and is it stopped?
- Which rooms or floors are wet?
- Is the water clean, or did it come from a storm or drain?
- Is your home on a slab, a crawl space or a basement?
Many providers can respond quickly. Availability varies, so Request a callback to check provider availability.
What to ask a provider
You do not need to know the jargon. Good questions do the work for you.
- How will you find hidden moisture, not just the wet spots I can see?
- How will you measure that my home is dry before you finish?
- What is included in the written estimate, and what could change it?
- Are you licensed and insured where local rules require it?
- Can you help document the damage for my insurance claim?
- What do you expect to happen over the next few days?
A good provider answers in plain words. If an answer is vague, ask again.
You are in control
A lot of people think that once they ask for help, they have to say yes. In practice, you do not. You can compare answers, ask for a written quote and take time to decide, as long as the water is not still spreading.
Costs vary by job. Size, water type, materials and drying time all change the price, so get the numbers in writing before work begins.
Some policies may cover sudden damage. Check your policy and talk to your insurer about the claim.
