Who we are

Secondaryfailure Restoration is a referral service. We connect homeowners in Baton Rouge and the Greater Baton Rouge area with independent water damage restoration providers. We do not do the work. The providers in our network do.

Why this site exists

A lot of people think a wet house will dry out on its own once the water is gone. In practice, moisture hides in walls, under floors and inside slabs. Hot, humid summers make that worse. Hidden moisture can lead to mold, soft framing and trouble when it is time to sell.

We built this service to help you look past the surface and reach someone who can check. Protect the house, and you protect what it is worth.

How providers are matched

You tell us what happened. It might be a burst pipe, a roof leak, a storm flood or a soaked basement. We pass your request to a provider in our network that serves your part of the area.

Many providers can respond quickly, but availability varies by provider and by day. Request a callback to check provider availability. After that, the provider talks with you directly.

What we expect from providers

We ask providers in our network to be straightforward with homeowners. That means:

  • Clear answers about how they dry a home, not just clean it
  • Written estimates before work begins
  • Required local licensing and insurance, where the rules call for it
  • Honest talk about what is and is not needed
  • Respect for your time and your home

Providers are independent businesses. Each one is responsible for its own work.

What we do not do

We do not show up at your door. We do not run equipment, set prices or promise a result. We also do not decide your insurance claim.

Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.

How we are paid

Homeowners are not charged for the introduction. Providers in our network may pay a fee for the requests they receive. Pricing for the work itself is between you and the provider. Typical costs vary a lot by job, so always ask for a written quote.

Why timing matters

Water damage follows a clock. In the first day or so, water spreads and soaks into porous materials. Within a couple of days in warm, damp air, mold can start to grow. After that, swollen wood, stained drywall and musty smells get harder to undo.

Dry means dry. Starting sooner usually keeps the job smaller and the house in better shape.
